I have the same prob. My asr kicks on when there's no loss of traction and then gets locked so I can't press the gas pedal down. I had to totally disable my asr and use a screw driver to unlock it so I can drive faster than 20 mph. I was going to send it to a shop and have the computer checked out but first would like some ideas from people here who would know more about it than a mech trying to make a few more bucks.

Disconnect the cables for the asr under the hood.

I did that, but then my asr is disabled. I want to know what is kicking my asr on when I still have traction.

I have a 6spd, and there is a "Low Traction" light, that I have seen come on a couple times.......but I dont have a button to turn it on or off. It hasnt ever stopped me from spinning out or anything, is it b/c I dont have the option? I was wondering about this for a long time.
