Fuel Filter Question

Alright

Im going to put a fuel cell in my 69 Camaro.
Can anyone tell me if I need to put a fuel filter befor the fuel pump?

it would probly be best to put the ilter before the pump (should save pump damage) i can find out tommorow for you 100 %

1 question, does you car have a vapor return line?

It will have one Yes.
I have not quite figured it all out yet but it looks like im going to go with a 15 gal cell from jegs and that cell does have a return line.

oh ok so your getting rid of the old 18 gallon and getting a box like one, right? i can look at the diagrams that chevy wrote for istalling and placment of the origional fuel filter but if you are getting a whole new system, id find out what other racers are doing.

Chevy put it before the pump, to, as i said, save pump damage. Thats what I'd go with.

You need to put some kind of screen or prefilter before the pump and a normal fuel filter after the pump.

The screen or sock filter keeps large particles from damaging the pump and the normal filter keeps the microscopic particles from pluging up the carb passages or injectors.
