if this happens when your in park, a bent flexplate or loose torque converter bolts will be the culpret. also, dont overlook a bad harmonic balancer. or, if it happens while in drive, i would lean towards a bent or out of balance driveshaft. how old are the u joints?

umm if anything it could be the balancer its like a year old but its like proffesional products is the name so that might be it but its a stick, it could be a drive shaft casuse i think i do have a prob with it on the freeway. where the faster i go the worse the vibrations get. i also think it may be a ignition problem but i dont know

Sounds like a bend in your driveshaft or u-joints getting bad.

These guys are right on. Do the process of elimination thing, leaving the most difficult for last. Check the u joints, the bolts on the flexplate first. Then have the dr shaft checked for balance. Check to make sure the input shaft going into the tranny isn't wobbly. Is the fan on the front of motor on straight and the blades aren't damaged or bent? If the balancer is only a year old it should be ok unless it was damaged during removal or installation. Was balancer internally or externally balanced? 350's are internally balanced while 400's are externally balanced. Check to make sure the balancer matches the motor in that respect.

Mine vibrated when over 3k rpm, but held 30 psi oil press. while under load, never knocked, but vibrated enough to make the shifter rattle. Checked these things out, still vibrated but ran like a scalded dog. I tore her down and found a spun main bearing. Hope yours ends up better than mine did.
