Low coolant light.. running fine

Does anyone else have the same problem? My low coolant light keeps coming on and off but im running below 160... Does anyone know what it could be? I checked the coolant and i am at a good level... im stumped

The sensor may need cleaning or replacement. It's about 3'' below your radiator filler neck.

make sure when u check the level you actually look in the radiator, not just in the overflow tank... some people just look in the overflow and assume its full.... the sensors do go bad often...

i changed the water pump on my 94 and it has never gone off. i just check my coolent once a month or so, some one told me i might need to change the sensor are the ezy?

Yeah they are easy to change but you will have to drain some of your coolant to do it.

i have the same problem it used to go on and off but now it just stays on all the time. coolant level is good but light still on just havent got around to changin it yet. are they expensive.

Mine doesn't stay on cause I disconnected it a long time ago. The dealership wanted way too much money to replace it.

Had the same problem on my 97 formula. Changed the sensor (around $60) and it never turned off. So I got a refund and unplugged the sensor. Just remember to check your coolant level every once in a while as you should do anyway.
