Best Upgrade

Bang for the buck, what is the best upgrade for my 98 Z28 LS-1. I was thinking of a supercharger, but I can buy alot of upgrades for the $4000 cost of a decent supercharger set-up. IS it cams? headwork? intake? ect....

My car is stock except for an SS hood.

Um Yu could proably do the cams. How many miles do you have on your motor? My Z28 has 3500 miles on it. In my case I don't really want to pull the engine out. I would go witht the procharger with the twin for intercoolers for around 4800. To me its easyer than pulling the engine out. What kind of mods do you have so far? My camaro the only thing I have done was I fix the skipshift with a radioshack part. I bought a bellow at Acehardware and I modiifed my airlid. Last thing I put a flowmaster. I wanted to do the Ypipe but when I was going to I found out the gasline ran right next to it. so I decided I would have to reoute the gaslines.. My dad told me the cheapest thing to do is run Nos. Yu can run a 150shot on your car.. at quarter mile you can have like 450 or more . I seen kits for 500-700 depends on where you get it.Talk to you later

I would run a 100 wet shot. Go with the TNT wet kit and be done w/it if you plan on getting nitrous. Keep it at 100 and it will be just fine.

My car has 61,000 miles and is an automatic (I know, I know, but I did get a smoking deal on it).

The car is bascially stock except for a flowmaster Americna Thunder exhaust. I do not thik that this added any HP, but I enjoy the sound. Thanks for the replys!

Upgrade your fuel pump and bump the TNT wet kit up to a 150 shot. Make sure you regap your plugs and you may want to consider changing the heat range on your plugs.

go mykdiver

mykdiver is absolutely right. If you pay attention to ALL of the safety concerns with your kit, this will be the biggest bang for the buck

warning, the LS1 will only handel 100 shot wet and 125 dry max, go any higher, you will grenade it before the summer is over. staying at those levels you can run it all you want with no harm to the motor. its up to you.
