alright well it is shaking ALOT and creating a rattle anyone have any idea why?? just came loose or ya think its "going bad" (dont know if that would be the correct term LOL) yeah not to good with all this engine stuff all i know is that there is the extreme rattle when i have the ac on and goes away when i have the ac off.... and i think my ac is to the bottom left of that and when my ac goes on it puts pressure on that belt and makes that shake more (i dont know if that made any senes but that is what it looks like happens

Thanks tim, yeah i was gonna take it tommarow i just wanted to see if anyone could tell me what the function was so that i dont walk into the dealer in total confusion and let them tell me its something else, cuz i am 99.9% sure that it is that that is causing the rattle

aight well get this...i take mariah to get the belt tensioner fixed, the guy looks at it and definitley agrees with me that the tensioner is real lose, so he says alight well we gotta order a new bracket and tensioner so it will be a couple hours.... then he calls me alittle later and tells me i should come back down there cuz the technician believes it was the alternator not the tensioner...

well so i get down there and he shows me that the blot on the top of the alternator was missing , and they contuinue to look at it and well to make a long story short, my alternator was just sitting in its place, not sercured by anything cuz come to find out the bottom part had cracked around the bolt leaving it just sitting there basically! and since the alternator was loose the tensioner suffering because of that.... it was the weirdest thing cuz i dont know how long this bolt has been gone nor how long it has been cracked for!
