header bolt

so im having header bolt issues, 1: i cant tighten the pass side rear bolt, too close to firewall/ac box thing(plastic black hunk of lard lol) and some of the bolts dont catch thread? my sisters bf is wanting me to buy this car off him but i want it running good first so, any help would be sweet. thanks

I use ARP header bolts that have a 3/8" head on them. Then I can reach the last bolt on the passenger side with a socket wrench and short extension. I always tighten that one first and then worry about the rest since it's the hardest one to get to.

I have SLP Tri-Y headers so the tubes are very close to the bolt head and so I can't even get a socket or boxed wrench on the bolts with the 7/16" head.

You can reach it from the bottom of the car snaking your hand around. I did it but it is a knuckle buster...

the last camaro i had i did that too, but i had flowtech shorties. (from the bottom) but this has longtubes and i couldnt see a path? i thnk i got it tight.kinda hugged the pipe and struggled iwth it for awhile. dont even kno hwo to explain lol thanks tho. the 3/8 bolts sounds like a good idea.
