Everyone has their own opinions on what they want in terms of budget/sound/looks/performance. So I would say first....set a budget.

Also check out http://www.ls1sounds.com/ as they have a good sound bank of different setups.

Magnaflow has a great sound to it and pretty good bargain as well as Loudmouth.

Borla is loud and a bit more expensive.

GMMG and Corsa are the premium setups that cost a lot but sound awesome.

All in all...it's really what your priorities are.

See ya on the road,
Matt

For just a catback system with everything else being stock, I think magnaflow is the best sounding system for the best price. GMMG is great but expensive.

just installed my magnaflow last night. very happy with it so far. little quiet for my liking but i didn't really find my cutout that loud either. it's supposed to be one of the better flowing catbacks as well.

yeah that's what i've heard. do you know what causes it? i got the exhaust used though so i'm guessing it's not gonna get any louder.

I went with the SLP Loudmouth II form Marylandspeed. I'm running stock everywhere else so I'm hoping it will not be too loud. It should be on in a couple of days and I will let you know if I like it or hate it. I was leaning toward Magnaflow but was afraid it would be too quiet for me. I would have preferred something in between but dont know what that would have been. Stick with something stainless if you can afford it.

if you want something louder get a setup that isnt stainless steel because stainless absorbs more, but it increases performance over just coated or mild steel soo it depends on what you want.

A lot of the stainless setups I've heard were definetly not in the quieter % of cars. Granted they were no TD's or cutouts...but they were loud. I'd be interested to hear more about this...

See ya on the road,
Matt

Apparently I'm the only fan of the Edelbrock SDT system... Good price, great tone, great tips, and great flow.. I don't get it.
