header gasket...

my passenger header gasket is leaking bad so i have to change it. i have pacesetter mids. what gasket do i use? can i just use one for a 350ci or its it special for lt1's or pacesetter or what?

You'll need to use LT1 header gaskets (D shaped ports). Brand is up to you, I just put mine in with Felpro gaskets.

my drivers side manifold is leaking bad and smelling rich, i know what you mean, i'll have some headers on there in a few weeks, i need to know which gasket to get also

Just make sure you get the LT1 gaskets they are a "D" port type

As said above, get the LT1 gaskets because of the above mentioned reasons. If you put regular 350 gaskets on there, and they will work, it will restrict exhaust flow and they will burn out quicker.

I ran the Mr. Gaskets and never had a problem. Plus you can pick them up at Autozone

I got some Felpro 1470s for my header install. They seem ok so far.

well this shop does work for 70 bucks an hour and they said id take an 1hr to 1hr 1/2 to do it and i work 10 hours 6 days a week so i figured i should just let him do it for the price and i wont have to figure how to do it. well i called him a lil while ago and he said he's been working on it for 2hours and he migt not finish today which was 3pm wen i called him so its taken him 4hrs so far and he still hasnt finished. he said tommorrow morning. now does that seem right? over 4hrs to do one header gasket. i knew i shoulda done it but didnt have time

it seems to me your getting the run around with the shop taking so long to do that, you can do both sides in less time, and i use the mr gasket copper gaskets for the lt1 and they have worked fine for me.
