SLP catbacks don't really have the best reputation with Longtubes. They are extremely raspy. I have never seen this particular catback before, but I would try going to LS1sounds.com and listening to some different exhausts with longtubes. I dont know what kind of sound you are looking for, but we can help point you in the right direction toward your goal. Most people like the Magnaflow catback with headers because it is very throaty and its a very clean tone. Borla also sounds good with a smaller plate than wide open installed. It all depends on what you want. Most catbacks are a gain of around 10HP. Headers are another 10 easily. I'd say expect 20-25 HP from just bolting this stuff on.

Although SLP mufflers are known to get a little raspy the powerflo is the newest and quietest from SLP, maybe second to the dual/dual. I would think it might be similiar to my setup since I hav the dual/dual. Mine can get a little raspy at certain rpms but it's nothing bad. Borla is raspier with lts. It seems that everyone is saying to get magnaflow and although it's a clean sound not everyone wants to be the same...

I do like how SLP finally came out with something a little quieter I guess. The Loudmouth is a good exhaust for just a catback only car, but they, IMO, needed something to go with LT's because they are just too loud. The dual dual does sound good with LT's but its almost too quiet. Heck, I even think the Magnaflow is on the quiet side with LT's. Like I posted before, go to LS1sounds and see what you think sounds the best and go that route. BTW, Pacesetters are one of the better fitting LS1 headers I have seen. They are hard to beat for the money.

Yeah both the dual/dual and magnaflow are too quiet but it's hard to get a loud deep sound with rasp unless you go true duals then you get a drone. Btw Matt and I finally got my header not to vibrate. I went at it with a hammer to put a nice dent in it and Matt worked on that bracket with a grinder haha. I actually enjoy driving my car again since there isn't an annoying vibration. Btw I heard you're going with pacesetters now instead of LPPs, my car the reason why? Matt has more of a floor vibration than me now though.

Having had loud exhaust to quiet exhaust...eventually you gravitate to the quieter stuff. and if you need more volume that is what electric cut outs are good for....

Base your catback on sound not power because really all aftermarket mufflers are going to have the same power gains.

Like Greg said, base it on sound. You'll get around the same performance with any aftermarket exhaust system, so sound should be your determining factor.
