im having 97 z28 with stock exhaust system. i captured two photos for two parts i dnt know what are the functions of these parts, i want help to tell me about these two parts & can i replace them with sumthing else to give more improvment for my car

those are your catayltic converters you can swap them out with aftermarkets, gut them out or switch out your y-pipe.
