true dual

okay this is my problem i have a 74 type lt camaro anyways, a little while back around december i tossed my old tired 350 to the wrecker and got a 350 crate motor. besides the point the shop that i had put it in for me as well as a clutch did my exaust, the mechanic said that there was no way he could put true dual exaust on because that the underside of the body would not permit it. all he did was do a 2 in 2 out flowmaster muffler that hangs between my gas tank and the rear end. this is just not good enough for me anymore! i want true dual exaust and i need help. is there anyone that has or has done a true dual on a 74 camaro? and it worked and didnt catch on speed bumps or drive ways! any replys would be great. thanks for your help

There should be no reason why you can't put duals on it. You can put duals on anything. It sounds like he didn't know what he was talking about. You need a second opinion.

Take it to a "quality" muffler shop not a chain place. You can get 2 1/2" aluminized pipes with a crossover and Flowmasters put on there no problem.

I've had 2 -74' and a 76' type LT's so don't let them feed you that crap story.
