Jackin

Ok Heres The Problem i Went to Get mny Car Jackd Up In The Back End I got Everything For It And When I Bought It There Were No Tailpipes so It Was Just The Mufflers Which Extended Slightly Behind The Front Wheel, So It Had To Get Tailpipes Put On To Safety It And The Jacking Had To Be Lowered , So Neways I Took It Into a Shop and they said the springs were in the way of the jakcing and id havta move my tailpipes in order to get it jackd but i just spent 150 dollars on tips and they said id havta either curve my tail pipes so they come out to the side sorta like old chevs 1/2 tons or cut them off well either way i have no use for the tips if i jack it and cutting them off is illegal but i really want it jackd and coming out to the side is ugly so wat should i do?

I don't totally understand what you're talking about, could you be a little clearer? Describe what you mean by Jackd Up?

they said the springs could not be modified to raise the back end because my tailpipes were in the way so he told me i had 2 options if i wanted to raise it make the tailpipes ocme out to the side like a half ton (ugly) or get them cut off (illegal) and im leaning to the illegal but im not really thinking thats all i can do do u know ne other way? does neone on here have their car raised in the back?

for now just cut them off, then goto a muffler shop and have them rework the pipes to go under/over the rear end after its jacked.

He means my car basically....I don't know if this helps, but I'm doing this I am bringing my exhaust out BEFORE my rear wheels on a 45* angle like the old Cudas, and it will utilize my tips. It also allows me to keep my like 87562856250256" lift back there.

lift

iam not sure that the shop is correct if you raise the back of the car it will only give you more room for exhaust so i dont see the prob with running them straight out the back. if you run them like mine they are out like the 67-68-69 maros there should still be enough room to do my car is lowered in the rear and i have 3'' on it with no probs.

i have 3" all the way out dumping behind the tires, hidden up in the quarterpanel, if the exhuast is ran over the rear (like mine) "jacking" the rear of the body would allow more room between the body and the rear. i've seen exhuast ran under the rear, not only is ground clearance a problem it also doesnt look as clean. i also had trouble following you, but hope that helped. i also dont like exhuast that is ran out onto the tire in front, i saw a racecar nova blow a head gasket on a dyno and puke coolant all over in front of the tire, luckily he was on a dyno and not doing a 130 mph going through the traps

exhaust

btchn. my exhaust is like yours 3'' also and the back of my car is lowered 2'' for reverse rake for hole shot weight transfer and i put big block springs in front to help with rake and ground clearance i would agree do not run out side infront of tire looks cheep in my opinion just my two cents.

if all else fails, just install a set of air shocks. they don't interfere with the pipes or the shackels. iv'e got aluminized factory exhaust tail pipes and they are set in the right position.they look kewl and are set where they should be.
