Magnaflow

is it necessary to weld a cat back or can you just leave it clamped? also does it have ricey sound for a v6 cuz i heard the v8 that had them and it is music to my ears.

I had mine welded just to insure there would be no exhaust leaks, plus I didn't want anything coming loose and rattling around down there.

Weld if you want. I would recommend that if you spend a lot on polished tips, you have then tack welded on. I lost a $70 tip because I was too lazy to bust out the mig.

I would also consider installing a resonator to deepen the sound. I did this to my old v6. I had a 97, flowmaster, dual tip exhaust, welded on, and it sounded ricey, so I had a resonator installed, and it did the trick!

I agree with Kikki (dear god I hope I spelled your name right.. might take me a while)

but other then that you can either do it something like she did.. or you can install a TSP rumbler system... and you can get a slight V8 sound with that...

No no no, no fart can, it's an insert in the tip that reverberates the sound waves to make them sound deeper.
