It will still sound like a V6, but have them add a resonator, that'll help with the deeper throaty rumble sound he's looking for. I had a '95 V6 and had a Flo-Pro Muffler with a Resonator and the stock dual Z28 tips (the flat black ones). It sounded pretty good. I had a lot of people ask if it was a V6 or a V8.
I still miss that car sometimes... |

What kind of resonator did you use? Did it make it sound deeper through the RPM range?
I am going to install my stock exhaust on his car probably tomorrow, or maybe tonight, so i will add the resonator later on. I was wondering how much of a sound improvement it made. Thanks
