cat question

When I first bought my camaro, I was driving it home and my service engine light came on. So the next day I brought it back and they said my cat had a crack in it. I guess from sitting for a while then the heat cracked it.... Thats what they said anyway. So they replaced it and now theres a weird noise when ever I shift. Mostly at high rpm's. Kinda like a loud rattling noise, I'm not to sure if it was making this noise before I bought it. Do you think they just did a crappy weld job on the cat?

Check to see if the heat shield is rattling on it. If it is, bend it up and out of the vicinity of the cat as much as possible.

I found this guy who will put a cat-back 40 series flowmaster with dual exhaust and stainless steal tips for $240. Is this a good deal?
