Real help please :-(

So i was driving around yesterday and i noticed my car doesn't whistle anymore and that its alot slower. So i take it to the shop that built the car and the mechanic says the "tensioner belt"(goes on the supercharger) is not on and that it is no where to be found. He said it looks like it locked up and something else.

Anyways, i have a procharger p 1sc on a 97 camaro and i was wondering how much is it for the belt, and how much should i look to pay for installation? Also is it just better to get an upgraded belt or etc? You guys are pretty knowledgeable so help a fellow z28'er out.... So much for getting headers now lol.

Side note...the supercharger was just rebuilt about 1200 miles ago and the guy said the belt was new, do they tend to go out fast?
Also is the "tensioner belt" he is referring to the samething as a pulley or different? Sorry for the dumb question but im new to this.

If you have a wore out tensioner the pulley will not stay in line and will cause belts to walk off, if you had to rebuild supercharger I would put a new tensioner and pully on the car and a new belt. When I last replaced mine tensioner with pulley was 200 from procharger and belt at napa was 20 an took about an hour to change out and replace and set up

The bushing in the tensioner is worn out and the pulley is not staying square you need a new tensioner and pulley (pulley rounds off when belt traks bad) and a new belt fought that battle a year ago put 4 belts on in a month and replaced tensioner and haven't had problem since. Check ebay for tensioner

Ok so ebay for tensioner and procharger for the pulley? And should i go with another stock pulley or should i probably go up a couple psi? The engines been fully built but the people said if i they would have to tune it and they charge like 150 dollars and hour.
