Question change heads for Supercharger

Hey guys I have a question I heard my 02 Z28 has a compression of 10.1.. I wanted to run a supercharger but I heard they only run safe at around 8psi with a inercooled. My question is that if I put different heads on it and change the compression to like 9 or 8 would I beable to run 14-15 pound boost saftley? thanks steve

You could probably have your chambers opened up a little on your heads and that will bring your compression down a little bit. I would think you should change your pistons if your wanting to go 14-15 pounds cause I dont think your stock internals are going to like that very much.

till i know 500hp is the "safe limit" 4 the internals, if u go further u'll need 2 forged...

I would say that what the aftermarket vendor is advising is what is safe with a stock motor. You probably should call one of them up and ask them so you would know for sure if your not wanting any guess work. You could go by what people say but not every car is created equal and who knows if your car will run what other people are running without breakage.
