explain: How 92's paint 16" rims on stock 91's?

've got a number of people claiming they have seen 91's with "heritage" type looking colored 16" rims. I've looked at 1991 brochures and books and there ARE in fact a number of 1991 brochures CLEARLY showing "heritage" colored 16" rims yet that was not available in 1991.

There is even a 1991 Camaro Z28 Convertible in one of my books that clearly show WHITE painted inserts yet White was not even part of the 92' heritage color..

Was there a undocumented number of 1991 Camaro's that got the 1992 HERITAGE Edition rims? or silver rims with WHITE painted insets?

Confused.. Thanks

The wheels were not part of the Anniversary package that I remember. It was an option for the cars with White or Red paint.

White is part of the Anniversary package it came with Red stripes.

I remember selling the RS and Z28s back in 91-92 at the dealership I worked at and most of the 16" wheels were colored when red or white cars were wearing them my personal 91 came with the red ones (the car was red) it was a standard 91 RS 305 5 speed with the 16" wheels but the heritage edition ones could have either the 15" with bodycolor accents or the 16"with them I remember seeing both on the cars when new ..
