gauges all messed up

I have a question. I was pulling away from a stop sign and my tach kept going up even though the enigne was still revving normally, then when the tach reached 7000rpm the oil light went on and the oil light buzzer, the tach is stuck at like 7000rpm. the engine was running fine, nothing dripping under the car and no smoke out the exhaust? also my battery gauge in dash stopped reading any voltage I drove the car home 5 minutes away and then topped up my oil (the dipstick was just about at add when this happened), and started the car the next morning and it started fine (actually easier). my initial thought was maybe my oil pump gave out but why would that effect my tach and battery voltage gauge. any ideas and I can start crossing things off the list. It is a 1981 z28 t tops, hooker headers, edelbrock 600cfm and intake mani, 4 speed. I love it her name is "goat eye".

I am guessing that this is a factory tach in the dash so I will go with that. Check all your fuses and the wires on the Dist. Make sure that you don't have a crack in the cap and that the rotor is not gummed up with carbon. If the oil pressure was in on all of this, then there has to be a common area where they hook up. If that car has no computer (and I dont think it does) then you are looking at the inst cluster going out. You can pull that out and make sure that all of the connections are good and clean. Other than that, I'm not sure lol.
