00-02 Lid on a 98?
Hey I just bought a SLP lid off someone on the site and I completely didn't think about whether a 00-02 lid fits on a 98. I'm hoping it does because I just got it. Is the only difference the hose? And what should I do with the hose, is there a way that I can hook it up like on an 00-02?

the 00-02's have a hole for the Air tube fitting. But they also came with the plug for it.

this is what i had to do...the lid came with a plug...my hose wouldn't reach, so i bought this filer that fits over the end of the hose....

well it fits great, better than whatever kind of lid that was there on there before. i'm gonna look for either a filter or plug to fill the hole though.

I just installed mine yesterday and it was a pain-in-the-ass. The lids diameter where it connects to the MAF was undersized! I had to drive to my machine shop and grab the dremel tools and grind it down till it fit. Sometimes the moldings are out-of-tolerance and you have to do a little grinding. (Actually I had to do a lot of grinding)
