Granatelli maf sensor.

I've been eyeing up the granatelli MAF sensor. the website boast a gain of 8-25 hp. Does it really work or is it just another marketing ploy to sink your money into an ineffectual mod?

The people on here have more problems with that MAF than they do with the opti. I wouldn't get it if I were you. The stocker is good up to 400hp+

what he said!!

the Gran MAF will net you a lil hp on a purely STOCK motor, but they do not respond well to mods. stick with ur stock maf. it will work better with future upgrades.

these Gran mafs and a few other companie's mafs are such an overated money getter. i have a few friends who use them now....as paperweights.

Stick with stock. The granatelli is good if you have a stock LT1. If you do upgrades stuff will start getting thrown off. Bryan at PCMforless said that they can get better results programming with a stock MAF. Mine works good, but I will probably go back stock when I do my engine again. Most of the racers around here use stock as well.

I Like the GMS MAF, but go 5% rich or the added flow will make a lean condition off idle that the computer can not override. The part number I used is 350111-BC. It is a 5% rich unit and works awesome, it is blue in color, you can get chrome or red also. Compared to stock it was a nice little gain, not 25hp, more like 10-15 but does add hp! and way more flow for future plans, if your going to run a twin 58MM TB then I strongly recommend it, you will need the added flow through the MAF to feel the gain of the twin 58MM.. Also, it WILL NOT affect MPG's or CO's, my car actually did better on the emission end and pulls 28mpg hwy.

how do you know if it made a differance
dyno? track times?
I find that hard to believe you made gains on a stock motor when I dont even max mine out
