Blackwing not latching tight...
I'm swapping the stock intake on my '01 SS for a Blackwing lid but it won't latch tightly. I have a K&N filter sitting in the stock tray. Do I need shorter latches or a spacer? Thanks for any help...

did the lid come with a foam gasket like the slp lids do? I use to have the clear mti lid and I've had 3 different filters, 4 including stock. the only one that didn't seal was the k&n. It's sealing lip is thinner than other filters. I had to have a piece of weatherstripping foam to take up the extra space.

Interesting, I do not recall having this problem with my old white SS that had the Blackwing along with the K&N.
