ported throtle bodie

i am thinking of gettin a ported throttle bodie i know nothing about them it says that it has been modified

shaft cut in half
polished blade and internals
blade has knife edge
lip on the blade removed

and i think thats it is that all that i should be lookin for or does it sound like a rip what else should you look for

and even is a ported throttle bodie worth the green?
if anyone has one i would love to hear what ya think

thanks for the comments

I have one on my car now, and i feel it is worth it. You'll feel better throttle response on a stock car you'll probably gain 5rwhp. I paid $65 to get mine ported
