Aftermarket Throttle Bodies
What kind would You suggest for my 94 z28 6 speed? I put an aftermarket 54mm on my 93, but I had to "modify" it to get it to work. That wasn't fun by any means, but I'd like a name brand one this time : ) Any suggestions will help alot. Thanks for looking

Factory TB is fine until you hit 400-450 hp. Use that money on another mod.

slomo..
I read that all the time but would a larger TB give you better throttle response on a stock engine?

The only disagreement I would have with Dustin or Jack is most aftermarket TBs have a built in air foil, which will allow for less turbulance than the stock one. This can easily be overcome with the addition of an air foil (which are easy to install and fairly cheap) on the stock TB and has been proven to add HP. The addition of an air foil is BY FAR cheaper than purchasing an aftermarket TB. This is just a consideration, but thought I should mention it.

Unless you are going to mod your car for more fuel (cam, 1.66rr's, LT headers, higher flow injectors, high flow heads, etc) I'd focus more on mods to plant your rear end to the ground.

if you were to buy an air foil for a stock motor you may gain .1 at the track, for the price its a waist of money if you plan on changing the cam/heads/tb. money better spend else where.
i have had one on three diffrent gm cars two l98's and one lt1. Never felt a diffrence. i wont ever buy one again.
