Question: K&N Cold Air ... driven in Rain?

After I installed the K&N cold air intake system, I notice at the end of the instructions.... basically... caution do not drive in heavy dusty areas & heavy rain. I realize that the filter is now exposed & near the bottom of the camaro...

Has anyone had issues with driving in the rain... causing any engine damage or damage to the K&N filter?

Thanks

No you wont have any problems unless you submerge the filter into water such as drowning your front eng

I drove mine through a pretty good size puddle and i was ok, mind you i have the splash guard removed..... You have more to worry about with your opti in the rain than your filter.

does anyone know about the foam connector that actually is supposed to close off when it starts sucking water and starts taking in air from farther up? I'm not sure what they are called but i've heard they work great and will eliminate the risk of sucking up water completely.
