you have a cam only car and they are telling you that you need injectors? find someone that knows what they are doing.
i have a heads/cam car making 450rwhp on motor and a 100 shot on top of that with stock injectors and my duty cycle is just fine, only difference is i have a racetronix fuel pump with hotwire. |

I would agree with the above, Unless you are spaying you should not be anywhere near maxing out your injectors.
First I would check your fuel filter more then likely I would guess that would be your problem. Second would be your fuel pump is not keeping up then I would get a Walbro intake pump and take care of that. Did they hook up a pressure gauge to the car while it was on the dyno to see what the pressure was doing while running it? Your injectors are not your issue Oh and if they are your stock injectors they are 26lb in a 2000, unless you swaped them with a 98

I dont usually get into the injector comments.... But like they said above I ran 28.8's on a car that made 480rw and it had 150 shot on top of that... and it never went lean until the solenoid hung open. and I was told by a "Tuner" that you want one pound for every 10 rwhp you make... after he told me you couldnt run 36lb/hr injectors on a motor that probley makes 430rwhp

thank u for the info, i dont know why my tuner is telling me this then, i know the car has a mild cam, and 241 heads on it not sure wut is done to them, all i know is that 5000rpm and above the engine becomes lean, and the duty cycle is 55% over wut it should be so he said the injectors are staying wide open

they say 360-400 rwhp is about all they should handle And I said it wrong they run from 30%-85% effectively... I have seen some people at WOT run 100% which means the injector doesn't pulse

gotcha, is it maybe possible that cause i have the 241 heads on the car maybe they are ported and polished, or have work done to them thus needing more fuel up top?

I would hook up a fuel pressure gauge on the rail and run it on the dyno and watch what the pressure is doing in the high RPM range.
I bet your pump is not keeping up if you have already but a new filter on it. I had the same problem with my car. I was going lean up top, stuck a Napa Gold fuel filter on her, got back on the dyno and picked up 70hp! OK the pick up was 70hp but I think it was mainly the shops dyno was messed up the first time and I told him that but he did not agree with me and instead went online and flamed me when I asked if it was possible for a dyno to be messed up. He won't get anymore of my buisness or any of my friends, Its a long story
