Question Cowl induction kit

When I bought my 69 Camaro, it had the steel cowl hood, but not the working cowl flapper. I have since bought an after market kit to make it a "working" cowl hood. However, the instructions leave alot to be desired. I would like to know the proper location for mounting the relay. A picture would be great, but just a description would help alot! Thanks Ed

If I am not mistaken, there should be a bracket that clasps the actuator and screws into the hood. The actuator rod should be secured to the flapper with a screw or a shaft and locking pin. Forgive me, but I have never worked on a Camaro Cowl induction before, most of the cars I have done or owned just had the hood without the guts. I have only done Chevelle Cowl Inductions, which are kind of different because they have a vacuum "Dumb Actuator" and the electric solenoid, but mounted a little differently than the Camaro. BTW, welcome to the site.

I have a picture but I am not sure if it is "correct". This is not my car, but one I saw at a car show with the Houston Camaro Club. The relay is the silver box located on the firewall just left of the distrutor. You can see a brown wire coming from the cowl down to the relay.
