Looking at the Z's regular hood.... you'll see two dips, or whatever you call them... Well, are they there just for design, or can they actually be turned into a functional ram air system?
If so, is it too much of a hassle?? is it worth it? Or would I be better off just bying the CAI? |

Just before I got my SS Ram Hood installed, I was seriously looking into this option. I actually had a nice design layed out, two issues cropped up.
1. The size of the intakes are really not that large. Combined you might think that they would be enough, but there isnt really a good scoop desgined into that hood to make them really functional. The air at high speeds would skip over that small slit. 2. The 2 90degree bends plus the flexable tubing leading to the MAF would add too much turbulance and restrictions. |
