I've done the FRA modification...don't know if that's what you're talking about.

There are two, the Free Ram Air mod and the raised airbox mod. Free Ram air can be found on www.installuniversity.com under the LSx install documents and I highly recommend it. The raised airbox involves putting washers under the bolts that hold the airbox to the frame. It makes the airbox opening bigger, allowing more air in. I haven't done this one, but every little bit helps.

I don't think so, you just kind of have to wing it, I remember something about 4 washers each.

When you do the FRA mod, make sure to check your filter once a month. They will get real dirty if you dont watch out. I know from first hand experience driving off a dirt road. People really need to tell you when the street ends!

ive noticed since ive done the free ram air mod my filter gets dirty alot faster, but i didnt put 2 and 2 together...glad i have you brilliant minds help me out

The filter gets a whole helluva lot dirtier when you have the FRA and the SLP CAI too...
