SLP Ultra Z Hood & 10 spoke wheels
I have a 2002 Z-28 and I'm thinking of getting the ultra z hood and 10 spoke chrome 17" wheels. I'm wondering if anyone else has either one of these? Did the hood fit well or did it need a lot of prep work? Also how is the fresh air channeled in? Is there a different air lid to work with the hood (ram air kit) or does it just throw the cold air in on top of the motor? Or should I just get the type of ram air that pulls the air from the bottom of the front bumper?
Will the backspacing and offset of the 17" wheels work with my car. It currently has the factory 16" wheels. I dont know what the backspacing and offset is for the 16s. The 17s are 2"positive offset and 7" backspacing. If anyone has any imput please let me know. ![]()

Re: SLP Ultra Z Hood & 10 spoke wheels
I have the 17in 10 spoke wheels and my car rides fine. I don't feel any problems. Oringinally 16in where on the car. Tires are more expensive and they wear down faster. But, you can go wider
. 275/40ZR17 in front and 285/40ZR17 in the rear. And about the hood, I bought a Harwood SS hood and it was all f--ked up. So much prep work. The dam thing did not fit and they lied when they said it was funtional. I had to pay to have the hood cut open and made functional. But, I heard the Ultra Z hoods fit a lot better then those Harwood SS hoods. Good luck. I hope I helped you out.___________________________ 98 Camaro SS Ported MAF and TB SLP Ram air package 3in Flowmaster exhaust Hypertec P.P.
