cowl hood VS the ram air???

i got a 86 z im starten to build and i c the ss hood and the one for the big block they look sharp and so the cowls the they say the ram air ones are only looks??? wtf whats the point then or can ya cut out the part in the front and make them work n e got any ideas

Yes you can cut the hood, but truthfully your advantages with a ram air will only be in the 100+mph range so unless you plan on going those speeds I would opt for a cold air kit of some kind and go with a cowl hood, or stick with the SS hood and just run the CAI kit as well.

im lookin to buy a 2in coel for my 86 but dont know what it looks like 1st hand on a real car not a net site so if n e one has on out there the could take a few side under and a inside car shot of what it lokks like so i know weather or not i want to go that rought i would appreaicte it verry much
