Where are they?

I ordered mine at the end of August and they said earliest December but probably january. The place i ordered it sold it to me at MSRP and i ordered the 2SS 6 speed Imperial blue. i am 20th on the list there to get mine. So yea they are sellin them but GM still hasnt caught up with the demand yet!!

I'm wondering if GM is keeping production levels down to help bolster the attitude for the car. I mean, we all love it. If GM keeps the numbers low, they can keep the demand high. If this is true, it could backfire on them in that people might get ticked off at GM for holding out. I don't blame them for NOT over producing them, though. People right now are more than willing to wait several months for a car ... make them wait and never be overstocked on inventory, dealerships can sell them for full sticker, and no sales or rebates at the end of the year to get them out the door. Only ones losing are the consumer, who, at this point are more than willing to take the bite.

Well i ordered mine through a lady in michigan and cancelled my order with all star. Within a week and a half i was at 3000 status and now I got my TPW of 11/16. lookin like i could get it early december!! yay!

Yup, I should have mentioned ... I was down at the stealership the other day and they had three SS's on the floor. There was a black 2SS/RS/M6 with silver stripes which had a sold sticker on it ... there was a yellow with black stripes Transfomers edition, I think it was a 2SS/RS/M6 (but don't remember for sure), and there was a plain red 2SS/A6. They had a $4k or so markup on them. Great looking cars. I wanted to sit in one, but they had them all locked. I hate dealing with sales people (I used to be one, so I know the deal), so didn't bother with it. Wish I had a few inside friends down there I could deal with. I know one of their managers is a total A-hole. The totally robbed me on my Suburban (yah, they wore me down after many hours of deliberation), so I won't go back to them to purchase another car. There are any of a dozen or so Chevy dealers in the area, so it isn't a problem. I would even drive somewhere when it comes time to buy my new Camaro.
