best way to get under the hood cleaned safely?

i have a 00 z28 and its getting a little dirty under the hood is there any way to get it looking spotless safely? Will a aqua car wash or sumthing do it i dont mind paying to have it done or doing it myself just want to know a good way.

Despite what anyone might say, I would not recommend taking pressurized water to anything on a car other than the exterior. For engine compartments I usually blast loose dirt off with pressurized air, then roll up the sleeves and have at it with the cleaner of choice and rags...

I was a cleaning solution like simply green or even gunk and use a water hose to spray it off. Just want to be carefull not to soak anything electrical and allow it some time to dry off.

Another point to consider is to wash with the engine cool, even more important if the car is older with opti-spark. I have had no problems spray washing mine,(that includes every car I have owned) just be carefull where you spray.
