dyno runs on the 408

finally got around to it today. was done at norris motorsports.

review of setup
408
11.5:1 compression
SLP lid
vinci ported MAF ends
NX 85mm TB
NX intake
42# SVO injectors
2.02/1.60 ported 4.8L heads
232/240 .551/.551 117 LSA
crane 1.8 shaft rockers
dynatech 1 3/4 stepped 1 7/8 headers w/3" collectors
bassani tru-duals 2.5" w/x-pipe
yank py3400 converter
3.73 gears
275/50-15 nitto DRs
250 NX NXL DP nitrous

this run was on motor converter unlocked



this run was on motor, converter locked 21* timing



same run with 26* timing



this run is with the 250 shot. tires spun on the dyno and didn't hook until almost 5500 rpms



here's the same run using mph, so you can get a little better view of the run

nice, so I take it you arent making much hp/tq below 3k?

im not knockin, im just askin. thats the prob with LS engines (not tryin to start another battle) but they are made to run in the upper rpm levels. I love the fact that my LT starts off strong at 2k and keeps going

ur AF is kinda way off....lol.....get that a lil closer and u will put down alot more power.....whats with the big dip in the first run?......looks like u make some good power!!!

On his last run the a/f looked ok but yeah the first ones were like
Sweet #'s though I'd be excited for the track man probly be runnning 12's because you cant hook up lol 4 secound 60 time lol. hope you have everything to keep that thing togather.

MODS: 224/224 114 thunder grind comp cam,spring,rods, retainers,QTP headers, Y pipe, cut out, 3200 stall, trans go shift kit, under drive pully, 3.73's, ported TB, HP tune, Tq mang deleted, M/T drag radials, and austin ram air kit. Now on 243 built heads, 10.7.1 compression, sfc, Tpis 90, tpis 90 TB,and safty loop.
Best ET 12.005 @ 113.40 so far

first run was converter unlocked it locked just before the run was made. so the dip is there. it's called converter flash.

talked with mike norris while dynoing the car. he suggested leaving the a/f as is because of the nitrous. as you can see by the nitrous run, looks like he was right.

Yea i figured that much on the first run after looking at it.......As for the AF ratio....i guess leaving it a lil rich would be on the safe side for a nitrous engine, kinda like extra insurance.....Personal preference for me would be to lean it out just a hair more on the nitrous passes.....ur NA runs will suffer but on the bottle it will be a BEAST!!!
