valve or lifter sounds

i have one question because i have a z28 98 and in the morning when the motor is cool and i start the car the lifter soud for no more one minute.ok i used 5 or 10w30 oil grade and my car have 50,000 mile now. if any person kwon the problem please write to me..

Being that you have an LS1 it has the aluminum heads, and that is the vavles making that noise that you are hearing it is perfectly normal.

Its not lifter noise, its piston slap... Normal w/ ls1's- aluminum blocks... Don't sweat the noise!!!

That's what I've been told. I've also been told the lifters have tendency to loose their prime.

00z28RSLS1: LT-1's have aluminum heads too and my lt-1's never made any noticable valve train noise.

Please do us all a favor and try and act like adults here. This site was not created to bash other people. This is a total disrepect towards the thread. What I really dont understand is how do you get any gratification trash talking someone hundreds of miles away, It just doesn't make and sense to me.

If any of you have a problem with another member just put that memeber on your ingnore list. It is very simple. Then all of their post/pm's will not show up. This will make them Invisible to you. If the problems still presist, please contact an Me or any moderator for help. Instigating the situation is only gonna make the problem worse and will cause the tread to be Locked or deleted.
