Doesn't the ignition key move a steel rod that connects to an ignition module on the steering column? If so, you might be able to manually move the rod up or down and get the car to crank over. On all my other cars, the module sits under the dash panel and is mounted on the steering column.

that doesnt make any sense...because when something like this happens, everything that was stolen wouldnt be replaced with the same stuff...just factory equiptment. If you still need to get it started just unbolt the ignition switch from the column and move the slide to the start position. This would be easier than tryin to squeeze your fingers into the column and sliding the rod.
