ideas for my new hood

i just got my new hood in so what do you guys think of painting the sides of the cowl black? my camaro is silver so im deciding and also im thinking of painting the underiside of the hood with that black truck bed coating? idk im just throwing some ideas out there
let me know what you guys think

I like the idea of painting the sides of the cowl but doing the underside with the truck coating, NO

I have to disagree with you about the coating because I did mine and I really liked it. Most aftermarket hoods do not come with that good of paint on the underside and mine was to say the least ugly. I actually used the coating in the whole engine compartment and it turned out really well.

The truck bed lining is interesting... As far as painting the sides of the cowl black, thats a good idea other guys have done that before. I do agree that the underside of aftermarket hoods are not as nice as real SS ones. I detailed Matt's (Z/YA) car last summer and the inside of his hood was a lot rougher than the inside of my SS hood.

Yeah mine was a split between covered fiberglas and just fiberglas that looked like it had just been laid. It was a quick fix for me to make it look a little bit better and turned out better than I expected.

ya i thought it was interesting too. does anybody know how much it will cost me to sand, prime, and paint this new hood? just looking for a ballpark est. and if anybody has done this before?

This was a good long while back but I put my hood on and took it to a place and they charged me 250 to prep and paint just the outside.
