Question about tire size

I'm shopping for a new set of tires, the current size i have are 245/50 16's and i am thinking about these but they are 255/50's would there be any issue with the slightly larger size?

I'm on a budget but allso open to any suggustions on other tires you guys might have

The tires would only be 10 MM wider (about .4 inches) but they would be 10MM (.4 inches) shorter. That would throw off your speedo by a little bit. Not much mind you but the faster you go the more off it would be.

Cool, thanks for the info.
But after a little more hunting and figguring out what i'm going to do about my flat, i found these.
Now i just have to find a place to put them on and balance them for a reasonable price.

I had 255s on my 16 inch rims with no problems at all. Actually made the car look a little better in my opinion.

Sadly those are just out of my price range, but some people have been telling me good things about these

If you are on a budget then I would check out some Falken Ziex tires at www.vulcantiresales.com They hook up good, are super quiet, good wet traction I had some on my 00 Z28 before I upgraded to Z06 wheels. I think you get alot of bang for your buck with em. They are akinda soft tire so they dont last super long but if you dont abuse them Id say you would get around 30K.
