How much for new ignition key?

I would like to get a 3rd ignition key and was wondering if anyone knew how much they cost roughly from the dealership?

I have a 2001 SS.

I would call the dealership myself, but I am at work and take in calls all day (Tech Support ).

If anyone knows or has a rough estimate on how hard it would be and how long it would take to get another key for a 3rd spare, I would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah they call it a chip. I didn't know that. I'll have to check the store here and see if they have them. You have to know the value of the resistor right? Do they have a way to check it?
