Exhaust causing rear pinion seal to leak?

Dealer replaced my rear pinion seal that was leaking for the second time now. They are telling me that my aftermarket exhaust pipe is too close to the seal causing it to leak.?????? BTW, i have the SLP LM2.

Any way this could be true?

No, they are likely just not installing the seal correctly.

you can install it yourself. just when you do put some wheel bearing grease on it makes it last longer. o bye the way look at the yoke where the seal rides see if the is a wear line aroud the yoke. it could be your problem

they said the yoke was fine, but your right, before they broke it down they said that might be the problem.
