best radar detector
hey guys just wondering what is the best radar detector to get? i kno this is not like cnet or anything but just seeing what other camaro drivers are using (if they are). Im asking because i get a lot of imports who dont care about tickets and want to race wherever and i want to have a safety net so i can laugh at the ricer when he gets pulled over. thnx guys!

thnx for the quik reply! hmm good point im just putting the post up to get feedback. a lot of my friends use them and have great success (ive been in the car with them). But im sure cops are well aware of how to get around detectors. I guess maryland cops are just not as clever as oklahoma cops lol

I would either run a Escort 8500 with the Lazer jamer attachment or the V1

V1 is my choice, for over the last decade- upgrade-able, so it doesn't become obsolete-
A radar jammer is a microwave transmitter, you would need an FCC license to operate such a device- just as the police are supposed to have. Laser is light, and less regulated- you might be able to trick it if you had a source of infrared light on the front and rear of your car- Either device, if found by the police, would be looked on unfavorably- and there might be some laws about attempting to interfere with a officer doing his job- sort of opening a big can of worms there- Some police may take owning a radar detector as evidence that you are planning to speed, and may give you a ticket instead of a warning, if they see one in the car-

ZO6 cam and springs- 332 RWHP and 346 RWTQ- not bad for almost stock. There goes the "stealth" theory.... "Older, not SSlower" Curmudgeon in Residence |
