1994 Z28 LT1 Starter

How the heck do I get the old starter out of my 94 Z28? Seems like everything under there is in my way. Please help!!

Cant really remember with a stock y-pipe and an auto. If I recall right someone stated you can slightly bend the tranny lines and fish it through.

Last time I did that I already had the Y pipe off, makes it a lot easier....

unbolt it and wiggle it out.

i never had problems pulling my starter out when she was still stock. its a little tight in there, but just wiggle around and you'll get it out.

btw... this needs to be moved to the LT1 area.

+1 its just tight like everything else be patient and wiggle and it will come out Good Luck!

i bent my tranny lines just a lilttle bit and wiggled it fell right out. took me 45 mins to drop out and reinstall.
