New SS

Just picked this up last week. It's an all stock 2000 SS slp 6spd. Few minor problems with it like O2 sensors and what not. As i am new to the ls1's. Wondering what i should start with first. The car has around 97k on it and pretty sure its never had a tune up. Should i even bother replacing the coils or not? What else should i look for that might give me some problems?
Would post up pics but dont have a url for them as they are on my harddrive and not on a website.

Also i got the car for under 8k which i think was about right.

Most do a set of TR55 plugs and new plug wires. And if the O2s are bad then get a new set of those.
Normally those coils do not go bad.
From there it is modding time!!

(if you want a set of NGK Tr55 plugs and MSD wires let me know $90 shipped)

To upload pics straight to the site, Just click on "Go Advanced" below the reply box. On that screen, scroll down to manage attatchments. Click Browse for the first pic and select if from your computer. Do the same for up to, I think, 7 pics. Then click upload on the right side of the page. You can go back ot the other window and type your reply, just be sure to wait for the upload to finish before you click the button to post the reply. That will put the pics in your post.

And, if you want any parts for your car, send a PM to Shon (HerronPerformance). He can usually get you the best deal on just about anything.

Just had check engine light scanned. Code P0157 came up, o2 sensor bank 2 sensor 2 and also code P0137 o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2. Which ones are these because i know there are two before and two after the cat?

Sensor 2 are the ones that are behind the cat. They don't affect the running of the car at all. If you (or the other person) deleted the cats, put on headers and got rid of the rear 02's, then that code will show up. If they are still there (the o2's) and the cats are still there, then the cats are bad.

Damn from what i was told and could see looking under the car is that the previous owner changed the front 2 sensors and both cats and y-pipe are brand new and still look shiny out of the box. We will see i guess.
