hp question

i dont know the conversion factor, but my car dynoed at 295.6hp at rear. whats that at the crank?

You lose about 15% with the m6.

I just took a transmission class last term. Gear to gear drivetrain (6 speed) net loss is about 14%. A viscous (sp?) style automatic is about 23% loss (can vary between 22-30%).

so with the calculations i came up with 336hp at engine. chevy claims that the 2000 z28 was producing 305hp and the ss at 325. did they underate the engine power?
