getting them into the 12's will vary depending on the car... auto or manual trans, weight, etc...

should take to much, but that also depends how far into the 12's ya wanna go..lol

would be close..yes

the free mods, exhaust, CAI, tune, and gears... if that doesnt get it then a set of headers should help it..

it is also going to be traction limited...

with the gears, spinning out the hole will be more likely.. so a set of drag radials maybe needed to help.

disreguard that, I am an idiot...lol

another route you can take....alot of people do performance mods which is great but often forget about suspension mods. There is often alot of improvement to be made with the suspension setup. You can make all the power in the world but without getting it planted to the pavement you are just spinning your wheels ( literatly) and wasting time..

that is unless you are like me and just like to burn out...hahahaha

Your gonna have to have 4.10's to be make it easy on yourself. The 3.42's make the LS1 difficult to launch since low end torque is kinda lacking. You either bog or spin. Don't be surprised if your stock gears net you 2.2-2.4 60' times. From a roll though, these things are nasty. I honestly would not be surprised if 4.10's and catback alone got you into the 12's.

headers, tune, catback, and gears = 12's easily

I went 13.28@107 with just catback and tune on good tires. But I still had a 2.13 60' time (stock gears ).

What kind of tune are you talking about?
What are good tires?

You can get a mailorder tune from pcmforless.com and I think he was running M/T ET Streets.

Nope I have a tune from Wait4MePerformance (AKA Jesse Bubb) out of Warsaw, IN. He's a great guy to deal with and he's pretty reasonable on mail orders. I was on a set of E/T streets, so Tony was correct. M6 cars with stock gears are just difficult to launch. I know a lot of guys probably think I'm crazy saying its hard, but I either bog or spin and my 60' times are rotten.
