Difference between a Z28 and and SS?

I'm doing some research on Camaro's, and what I want to know is:

From the factory, what are all the differences between a Z28 and an SS?

So far the only things I'm aware of are the ram air setup, rear spoiler and an SLP exhaust and suspension.

Am I missing anything else?

First, welcome to Z28.com. You just about covered it. I can't think of anything that you haven't mentioned.

17" wheels and 275 tires on the SS, replaces the 16" and 245s on the Z. SS badges replace the Z28 badges.

So that's pretty much it then?

- Ram Air
- Rear Spoiler
- SLP exhaust
- SLP suspension
- 17" wheels
(and of course the badges)

What pieces of the suspension are different than the Z's?

The suspension was not different, unless you ordered special options from SLP.

It depends on what options (SLP) the customer chose. You could get an Auburn diff. and I think 3.42 gears (performance option for Z-28) was standard for the SS.

a power steering cooler, a low=restriction dual outlet incuded 3:23 ratio rear axle with MXO automatic tranny. or 3:42 rear axle with MN6 M6. It was available for z28 but was not abailable with Y3F sport appearance package. also an SS interior plaque

Yeah, the SS was pretty much just a cosmetic thing for the most part until you starting adding up the options. Take my car for example, it's an '02 SS with stock suspension, chrome 10 spoke wheels, 345 hp with high flow/center mount exhaust and an SLP Blackwing air lid. There were many options you could tag on an SS. The 00-02 SS's made slightly more power than its predecessors due to EGR delete, and ever so slight PCM tuning from SLP. My car was one of those that got some extra tuning.
