New 3rd gen!!!

well guys i havent been on in a WHILE. i got tired of getting nowhere with my 86 iroc so sold it and got an 85 c10 shortbed 305. it was a pretty descent truck. it ran great. but i was missing the camaro pretty bad. so i put the truck up for sale. and i found a guy that wanted to trade an 83 z/28. and i decided to trade. so im the proud owner of my 1983 chevy camaro z/28. its got a built 350 and a 5 speed trans. this car is FAST. im going to need to be careful in this one. but im just proud to own a camaro again. i just got it tonight and man it runs and sounds GREAT. i love it and i really want to stick with this one. its got a 3.73 posi rear end. i think he said something about a 5 angle valve job or something. and i think he said it had a .562 lift cam. it has a holley high rise intake fed by an edelbrock 750cfm carb. the car is SUPER fast. its good to be on here again. ill put some pictures of the car up tomorrow

Yup, there is only two things that I don't like about that car. The wheels, and the exhaust tip lol. But, I want motor shots I will start a rant if I have to lol.

well what happened was. it started whining. so i climbed under the car and found that the 2 bottom bolts from the bell housing to the trans were missing. so the trans was sagging. so i bolted it back up and the trans was just really rough and grinding pretty bad. so i drained the fluid and found really fine metal shavings. almost like matallic paint. so i pulled the trans before things got worse. and the shaft is super lose. so i figure all the slack it had with those bolts missing wore some stuff out.

Okay, that's right lol. I read through this thread, but you have another thread that you said that in lol. And, from what I have heard, they are pretty good trans' if they are bolted up right lol.
