take out the 2 front screws, then take out the 4 or so screws inside of the compartment and 1 screw inside of the ash tray, then take the shifter handle off and pull it out, you may have to lower the pass seat all the way down and turn the console. the part with the buttons on it just pulls off, pull it out and then just squeeze the clips on those buttons and they come out of the plastic bezel
