Removing the plastic front grill

I cant find any clips or bolts to take off the grill on my 2000 z28, if anyone has taken theirs off, I would appreciate some help. Also, im expecting to find body color/painted with Camaro on it, if this isnt what is under there, please let me know too!

thanks

Yes, that is what is under it. I just grabbed one edge and pulled it out, then pulled the other side out, then grabbed both sides and pulled really hard and it popped off. You will not be able to reinstall it unles you get new mounting hardware.

yeah i would really like to find a way to take it off and still be able to reinstall it, even if it takes a lot longer to do. I'll have plenty of free time since tomorrow is my last day of high school!! i really enjoy making "free" improvements, since im poor, and gas is like 2.40 a gallon

I assume you can get it from a GM dealer.

KC, if it's like my '02, the proper way is to remove the front nose clip to get the grill out. I took my clip off, pulled the old grill without damaging it, and installed my SLP grill. I can put the old one back on if I ever want to.

It helped to have the factory manual, but there was also an excellent thread on it at LS1.com complete with pics. Do a search there and you can probably find it.
